Did you know Venus Flytraps flower? I didn't:
I bought a Venus Flytrap a few years ago, never having luck growing them, I figured I would try again. To my surprise, not only did it thrive, but it caught it's own food and with help of a grow light, flourished in our window sill. When it began to flower I was shocked that they do flower, but of course they do.
This painting was inspired by the time we grew these, and how satisfying it was to feed them! For those who want the beauty of these carnivorous plants without the special care it takes, this painting is for you!
