The Marbled Newt, a friend that comes to us from Europe. I've been wanting to paint all of these little wobbly units for a while, thankfully I got him done in time.

Newts were the first pet I ever wanted aside from the doomed Walmart goldfish I received when I was a toddler. I used to call them swimming lizards since i was 8 and didn't know what they were. This isn't the exact newt of course, but a cousin of the ones I held captive.
Each painting is designed to provide a death-free alternative to having your favorite insects on your wall.
